Title: Semantic Representation and Automated Reasoning for Mathematical Research
Speaker: Haocheng Ju, Boya Postdoctoral Fellow at Peking University
Abstract:
Mathematics forms an interconnected body of knowledge, with relationships ranging from semantic similarities between individual statements to dependencies among theorems and influences across research fields. In this talk, he will begin by reviewing their work on representing mathematical knowledge at different scales, from semantic retrieval in formal libraries and the mathematical literature to modeling the global structure and development of mathematics. To expand and strengthen this body of knowledge, they have developed several AI agents to tackle open mathematical problems. He will discuss the design and implementation of these agents.
