The Biosciences Lab at the Zhu Chongzhi Center, Duke Kunshan University, is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research at the intersection of mathematics, biology, and healthcare. By combining rigorous mathematical modeling with data-driven approaches, the lab seeks to address fundamental scientific questions and real-world challenges in biomedical sciences. The focus is on developing innovative frameworks—such as differential equations, stochastic processes, and computational algorithms—to better understand biological dynamics and inform medical applications.

In addition to research, the lab serves as a platform for collaboration and student academic training. We actively engage with scholars from biosciences, healthcare, and related fields through invited talks and joint projects, while also fostering connections with internal DKU programs such as the Global Health Research Center and the Medical Physics Program. Through project-based mentorship and independent study opportunities, students gain hands-on experience in mathematical biology, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to interdisciplinary research and future careers in science and technology.
